ЛПС грамотрицательных бактерий различаются количеством остатков 2-кето-З-дезокси-Б-манно-октулозоновой кислоты (КДО) и остатков фосфорной кислоты (Barclay et al., 1987; Ohno et al., 1989; Muller-Loennies et al., 2003), а также по катионному составу (Coughlin et al., 1983; 1983a), что отражается на общем заряде каждого ЛПС.
