Кроме того, МС обуславливает 6−7% общей смертности от всех причин, 12−17% смертности по причине ССЗ и 30−52% по причине сахарного диабета 2 типа (СД 2). Каждый из компонентов МС является прогностически грозным клиническим состоянием, сочетание которых приводит к резкому повышению риска развития фатальных сердечно-сосудисгых осложнений.
