Несмотря на то, что алгоритмы поиска промоторов, учитывающие характер доминирования нуклеотидных пар в консервативных элементах, уже много лет используются для предсказания потенциальных промоторов перед известными генами, они не пригодны для картирования транскрибируемых участков в геноме.
