Изучение кальцийсвязывающих белков, присутствующих в яйцеклетках рыб, представляет особый интерес для изучения процесса активации яйца, тесно связанного с кальциевой сигнализацией. Различные кальцийсвязывающие белки в последние несколько десятилетий активно изучаются у самых разных организмов.
