В условиях острого «метаболического» стресса, обусловленного разрушением островкового аппарата поджелудочной железы крыс после введения им аллоксана и формированием гипоинсулинемии, усиление синтеза глюкокортикоидных гормонов можно рассматривать как компенсаторную реакцию, направленную на повышение синтеза глюкозы в клетках печени.
