Актуальность проблемы. Проблема малярии в настоящее время является актуальной для различных регионов мира: заболевание распространено более чем в 90 странах, где проживают около 36% от общей человеческой популяции, из них 29% — на территориях, на которых передача возбудителей малярии была на низком уровне, но стала вновь значимой (WHO., 1996; 2001).
