Митохондриальный путь программированной клеточной гибели реализуется за счет повышения проницаемости митохондриальных мембран, что приводит к падению A*F и выходу из органеллы триггеров апоптоза: AIF, Apaf-1, цитохрома с, эндонуклеазы G, Smac (Diablo), Omi (HtrA2).
