На сегодняшний день стентирование занимает доминирующее положение среди других эндоваскулярных вмешательств на коронарных артериях. В 2000 8 году только в США было проведено более 1 миллиона процедур ТБКА и приблизительно 70% из них завершились имплантацией стента (Giedd K. N et al. 2004).
