Диссертация
Увеличение массы и объема древесного растения обеспечивается функционированием первичных (апикальных) и вторичных меристем. Камбий как вторичная (боковая) меристема обеспечивает нарастание стволовой массы, которая с возрастом начинает преобладать над другими частями деревалиствой (хвоей), корнями, генеративными органами.
